Guess who has agreed to try out teaching a class!!

Well i finally did it - I allowed myself to be pursuaded to teach a class. It is something that I have been thinking of doing for a while now, but with many family commitments the time was never right. A couple of weeks ago Linda from NZ Scrapbooks commented on a LO that I had done as a design team project and asked if I would consider teaching it as a class. Well I thought and thought about it and decided that my main reason for not doing it (Benji) was old enough to manage with his dad for one evening. It was time for me to try something new and take on a new challenge. I will be taking a class at NZ Scrapbooks on Tue 27th July. It is a Prima LO incorporating hand made silk flowers, punched edges and masking techniques with spray ink.
I am a little (OK a LOT) nervous about playing teachers so I hope everyone will be very patient and kind to me LOL.
Anyway here are 4 LOs that I have completed this week. I love the photo of Benji and I that is shown in the first LO. Natalie snapped it at the cafe whilst we were waiting for her parent interviews to begin. I just had to scrap it as soon as I saw it. The papers used are from Kaiser Crafts Jungle Bug collection with a touch of Websters Pages thrown into the mix. The title comes from my pet name for Benji. The last LO Benjis Tantrum 101 uses the same paper range. the vibrant blues and oranges are great for little boy LOs. At 16 mth Benji has already started to throw fantastic tantrums - but he always checks first to make sure that he has an audience lol.
I used some older Basic Grey papers up for my Clip 'n' Climb page. The central paper reminded me of ropes hanging down and was a perfect match for my theme. I dont often do 2 page LOs but I had too many great photos of this day out to fit on a single page and I thought that they would not look good printed out at a small size. I really enjoyed creating this one though which goes to show that sometimes changing your style or meeting a challenge can really enhance your creativity.
The final LO 'Fun in the Garden' uses up some wallet size photos that I had lying around of Benji playing in our garden with his soccer ball. I used a Heidi Swapp mask and white paint to create the floral background pattern. I then made a grid arrangement from my photos and used Kaiser Craft papers and rub ons to fill in the squares where there was no photo. I had just bought a new Tim Holtz Sissix die which I was hanging out to use so I incorporated the gold key and lock into my design, cut out from grunge board.

Thanks I'm sure it will be fun, but like anything new a little bit scary too:)
The little pics are 2 x 3 (slightly cropped) so yes, 4 on a
6x4 sheet.
Thanks for looking
