Happy 17th Birthday adam

My son turned 17 on Friday. We took lots of photos of the occasion (ofcourse) but this was one of my favourites. I used the current Sketchy Thursdays sketch which is perfect for a single photo LO and I took the colour scheme from the current 'Colour room' challenge.
The background paper is the fabulous Tim Holtz Craft resist paper (from Scotty Craft) I sprayed it with Studio Calico mist. The rest of the papers are a mix of leftovers from Webster's pages and Ocober Afternoon. I made the lollipop flower with bits of fabric layered together and lots of the other bits and bobs  from the May Cocoa Daisy kit - I never usually buy kits as I find that I cant use everything in them but this was a exception. As soon as I saw the kit in the May newsletter I knew that I just had to have it! I hinted and hinted to my dh (it was mothers day very recently) and for once he took the hint and my beautiful kit was delevered to my door less than a week after ordering!

I recently found this cool sketch challenge blog  'Little Shop ofsketches' http://littleshopofsketches.wordpress.com/
whilst looking at LOs from the Sketchy Thursday blog. They are looking for new design team members. The sketch for their DT entry is very similar to the Sketchy Thursday one above so I decided to submit this LO to the DT call. I love designing from sketches and this blog is based in NZ!
