Brother Love

Recently I stumbled upon a new challenge blog 'Scrap Africa'. When I saw their sketch challenge I thought of this photo that I had wanted to scrap for a while now of my eldest and youngest children. I have just got the new October Afternoon Sassparilla range (I wasn't sure that I should get this one as it has a Wild West theme, but I am very glad that I did because the colours and patterns in the paper are just amazing for those teen boy, and little boy, layouts that I often need to do).
I sprayed me background with pale blue glimmer mist using my Crafters Workshop 'Cogs and Gears" mask. then I splattered dark blue and red ink over the page. My papers are Sassparilla and a little Kaisercraft (the book page print). The chippie gate is from Scrapware and the wooden ticket, flowers and mini-alphas are from Prima. I  finished off the page using some old rub-on flowers that I have had for years and handwriten journaling.
I love looking at those two happy faces smiling up from the page - sometimes I can't believe that they came from me. I am so, so lucky :)
