New Challenges :)))

A new month means heaps of new challenges. Check out this one over at Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge:

This is April Fool’s day – scrap about a trick or prank that was either pulled on you, a friend, or that you pulled on someone else!! If you have difficulty with this, you could alternatively scrap about a surprise you experienced or that you prepared for someone else (surprise birthday party??)

I didn't have any photos from pranks or jokes played on me so I chose to scrap a page about my little girl's 7th birthday last year. We surprised her with a fairy themed party at Ivy Cottage (which is a very popular venue for children's fantasy parties near where we live - the cottage and the beautiful grounds are decorated as a fairy grotto. It is truly magical, a little girls dream)

Sophie had the beautiful dress as one of her birthday presents. We invited 10 of her friends (all girls ofcourse) and she was a fairy princess for a couple of hours. She was absolutely thrilled and still talks about it often and is planning her 8th birthday at the same place :)

The papers that I used are from Echo Park. I had a lot of fun handmaking a variety of flowers for the page and I kept to the pink, white, black and grey colour scheme throughout. The paper and crocheted doilies are from Purple Pumpkin and the little window is a 'Prima' resin. I dry brushed some white gesso over all the elements to tie everything together.
