Three Generations
Yesterday was mothers day in many parts of the world. We celebrated with a family lunch at my mum-in laws house. My mother-in-law is the BEST she has been a rock to our family, a real friend to me and a fantastic, loving Oma to my children. My husband took this photo of us together - three generations of 'girls'. Although it is not the best photo it is very special to me and I knew that I wanted to scrap it right away before it got lost in my 'to do' pile!!
My papers are from the Simple Stories 'AwesoME' collection. They are really designed for 'boy' pages but the muted colours looked good with this 'modern heritage' style too. The gorgeous chippie branch and the bling flourish are from Kaisercraft - I have painted the branch with TH crackle paint and rubbed green metallic paste over the top. The canvas butterflies are 'Prima' stained with TH distress stain (diluted with water), and the flower charm is from 'Bo Bunny'.
I completed the page with strip journaling and a Basic Grey sticker title. The theme at Once Upon a Sketch this month is 'Mums' so I based this page on their sketch.
I flipped the sketch onto its side but I think that I strayed a long way from the sketch design after that. I carried on the clock theme in my background paper and my branch replaces the banner - anyway I hope you can see some elements of the sketch in my page:)))
Hope all you mums out there had a fantastic day yesterday and were spoiled rotten!!!
