What will her Future be Like?

When I saw these photos of my daughter with her ipod it made me think of how much I loved my walkman when I was a child. That got me thinking about how much has changed over the last 20 or so years. My kids now download their music from i-tunes, and LPs are vintage items. No-one uses encyclopaedias anymore, everything is on-line. I wanted to record my thoughts on a page for Sophie and the word 'Future' over at ;Bird is the Word' was the inspiration that I needed to get started.

I have just purchased a set of new Tim Holts background texture stamps from Scottie crafts and I couldn't wait to have a play with them. I used my Prima brick mask and sprayed my stamped background with blue glimmer mist. As I was sorting through my stamps I found this lamp-post stamp that I bought a while ago and had forgotten about. I stamped it onto my LO next to the 'wall' and highlighted it with bronze perfect pearls powder whilst the ink was still wet. I remembered that I had the chipboard version of the same lamp-post and decided that it looked great next to my stamped image - kind of like a shadow effect (both the stamp and chippie lamp-posts are from Kaisercraft). I completed my page with some strips of MME paper, punched border strips, flowers, butterflies and Scrapware clouds. I hand-wrote my journaling.
