The New Sketch Challenge is up at frosted Designs

Here is the sketch and my take on it for the design team.
This is one of those 'ahhh' photos that I absolutely LOVE. It was benjis first time at Jazz dance class and he was feeling a little nervous. Sophie, who has been dancing for 3 years, put her arm around him and said 'Come on sweetheart, you'll be fine' - It was such a sweet mommy moment!
Anyway those huge blue blodges were actually a mistake. I took the lid off my ink spray to flick a little mist onto my page and two huge drops of ink poured out. I was about to start again with some fresh white cardstock when I found that I was all out of white cardstock! I decided to 'make it work!'
I blew on the pooled ink and it spread out in a interesting way. I added some more misting over my crafter's workshop gears mask and stamped on top of all the misting with my Tim Holtz background stamps. I used some scraps of October Afternoon paper to frame my photo and painted some waste chipboard circles with red crackle paint for the circular elements of the sketch.
A few flowers and a little extra chipboard and my page was finished except for a title. I chose a long title recording exactly what Sophie said to Benji then I could keep my journaling short enough to fit in the little circular OA tag.
Check out the other DT members takes on this sketch over at Frosted Designs and play along yourself. We have some great prizes to be won!

Sometimes mistakes are just meant to happen! Yours made for a brilliant layout. I just love the photo and the story behind it. It's just so touching. I love how you added the strips to the sketch too! It's just perfect!!
