A peek into His World

Scrap the boys have a great challenge this month. You have to incorporate some of your childs art into your page - how fun is that? Well Benji doesn't do much artwork because like most little  boys he prefers to be outside running around. Just recently though he has been joining Sophie (read annoying Sophie) when she draws and creating some of his own masterpieces. He picks out a few of his favourite coloured pens - usually red, blue and yellow (though if you ask him he'll say pink is his favourite colour) and very carefully creates a series of lines and circles. The lines he calls 'track' and the circles trains, cars, trucks or bikes. Often he will take a look at what he has drawn then tell me what it is according to how it turned out :)
For this page I used a couple of examples of his vehicles and added his first attempt at writing his name (I wrote it and he copied it). Because his art is very bright I tried to keep the background neutral but added some splashes of bright coloured tape and paint to tie it all together. I machine stitched atound the edges and accross the title to finish it off. I am really glad that I did this challenge and that I have these little artworks safe for my little guy to giggle at in the future :)

This is really, really lovely - such a great memory to have. I really like how you've put it all together... he looks so sweet, concentrating, too. And the title is PERFECT:):):)
