Check out these challenges at 'Stuck?! and frosted Designs!

First of all if you are here for the Stuck?! blog hop please scroll down :))

Since it is Stuck's ?! 5th birthday we are offeriing 4 challenges this month instead of the usual two. Here is my DT take on the first bonus sketch.

I really like this sketch as it is very simple and open to interpretation. I chose a favourite photo of my kids taken on our first day in San Francisco. I paired it with some random paper that I found in my stash (I think it is Kaisercraft but I'm not sure). As the paper did not have a travel theme I decided to cusomise it by stamping over one of my papers with a compass stamp. I heavily distressed and inked all my elements and used a lot of miscellaneous stickers and die-cuts to cluster around the page. Most are from Kaisercraft and October Afternoon. For my title I painted an old chipboard book plate and used it to frame a 'tourist' card from the OA 'Boarding Pass' miscellany collection.

There is aso a new sketch challenge out at Frosted designs:

Although this is a single photo sketch I used three photos as I couldn't chose which ones I wanted to use (a common problem of mine lol). My kids recently performed in their high school production of 'Oliver'. Adam did a fantastic job as Fagin and Natalie was a dancer in the chorus. I chose my favourite photo of the two of them together and another quirky photo of each of them. The papers I used are Kaisercraft 'Attitude' collection (all part of my design team kit from Scottie crafts - you can see this LO in 'real life' in the Scottie store if you are nearby)
Again I heavily distressed and inked my elements - thank goodness I managed to get hold of more Mr Hueys 'Calico white' spray ink (thanks Scrappin' Patch!) as my last two bottles are completely empty! I cut out lots of elements and made the banner from punced out circles of patterned paper. I used my new chevron mask for the background as well as my cogs and wheels crafters workshop mask.

So there are lots of challenges out there to keep you busy over the coming month - and lots of prizes up for grabs. Do play along with the 'Stuck?!' blog hop below as there are a grand total of 13 prizes to be won and heaps of inspiration along the way :)

Thanks again for leaving some love Sarah! I love what you have done with this Stuck sketch, I have been trying to compose it in my head but tend to use smaller pics - maybe I need to step out of my comfort zone again and just scrap!

Very cool layouts!! I love the music in 'Oliver'! On Sunday Emma and I went and watched Orewa College, who also performed 'Oliver'. Well done to your kids, esp as Fagin was such a major role with so much to learn!!
