This is my take on the 'Scrap the Boys' challenge for September. This is the inspiration photo:
Now this is right up my alley - lots of paint and ink splodges, which I had fun doing! BUT, then I kind of ruined the effect by covering most of it up with photos and paper. The problem was that those photos are too darned cute to print out as small as they needed to be to leave a lot of my background visible. Benji is such a cute little imp and wearing his new underpants on his head is such a perfect reflection of his personality that I really wanted the photos to 'pop'. Anyway, if you look carefully you can see the grey acrylic paint peeping out from behind the photo block and some of my blue and red ink blots are visible around the edges.
My papers are Amy Tangerine and OA. That cute Elmo button is from Purple Pumpkin as is the bakers twine. Do check out the new tin pins (at the PP blog) that will be available for sale at PP from Friday. They really are gorgeous!!!
