On the last Thursday of the school holidays we went to the zoo. benji hasn't been to the zoo since he was 18 months old so it was all new and amazing for him. Sophie and Natalie loved the excuse to spend a lovely day in the sunshine, picnic on the grass and see some cute and interesting animals along the way. Ofcourse I took heaps of photos - these are just a few of our favourites. I love the group photo of the 3 kids, Benji wanted me to include his favourite animal - the effalent (elephant) and Natalie was enchanted by the baby baboon and took this cute photo with her i-pod.
I based my page on the colour challenge over at 'Scrap Friends' which was perfect for these three photos.
and also the sketch challenge at 'Sketchabilities'
The papers that I used are mainly from October Afternoon's 'Woodland Park' collection. I have again used a lot of inking, spraying and stenciling on the background and I think that this reflects the sketch quite well (I think that the potential for inking and masking is what attracted me to this sketch in the first place! - it really is a great sketch).
Hope you are having a great weekend and finding a little time to scrap.
