Always be You

Here is the first June sketch over at 'Stuck' sketches and my DT take on it.

It is a really good sketch to make a dent in your pile of 'to scrap' photos. Despite the pink raincoat this is indeed Benji splashing in the rain. Sophie had outgrown the raincoat and Benji wanted to have it - pink is one of his favourite colours right now, I guess thats what comes of having two big sistrs doting on him every day.
I had fun inking my background into a starburst pattern. I used up some old laser cut paper (the flowers) and some scraps of Studio Calico and Amy tangerine papers that I had lying around. I used an edge punch for the leafy fronds. Here is a close up of some of the details:

Head over to the Stuck blog to see the other DT members fantastic takes on this sketch and to enter your own page. As always there ar lots of great prizes to be won.

I love the way you use color! This is stunning in eye appeal, great photos catching the fun moments.. My kids all wore hand me downs from other kids.. my girls wore blue bonds suits at home and flannelette shirts from their big brother.. It is good to get the extra wear out of things!!

Another fun page....he looks sweet in his pink coat, too!!! Those flowers are cute & the bit of the bg peeking out looks really cool. I always think it's a shame they get covered up!!!!
