I haven't had time to enter many of the 'Scrapfriends' challenges recently but when I saw this colour challenge I knew I just had to do it. I had recently purchased the 'green' gelato collection and was itching to try it out.
Here is my page and the challenge criteria.
My ledger background paper (from Fabscraps) was the ideal neutral background for the gelatos. I used two greens and a yellow to colour around where my focal elements would lie on the page. I then spritzed the page with water and allowed the wet gelato to run down the page. To add further interest to my background I inked a chevron design and some polka-dot details using masks. I added random blots of green 'Smooch' ink to complete the look.
My papers are scraps from Studio Calico. I added some chipboards 'chicken wire' from '2crafty' and a Crate Paper transparency. A lot of my tags and die cuts are from the co-ordinating miscellany pack to Crate paper's 'The Pier' collection (which I LOVE).
Here are a couple of close ups to show the journaling and details.
Thanks for stopping by :)
