The Perfect gift

Happy August!!! Can you believe how fast this year is flying by? This month is 'Stuck Sketches' 6th birthday and w have some exciting things scheduled for the month - including 4 sketches instead of 2 and a blog hop. Heaps and heaps of prizes up for grabs!!!
The first sketch is this:

For this sketch the theme should be 'birthday' related. I chose a couple of photos of my sweet little daughter on her 8th birthday opening her longed for 'Ariel' disney doll.  I wanted to keep the focus of my page firmly on Sophie's thrilled expression so I used a 'starburst' pattern in conjunction with the circle element to really draw in the eye. To make the 'dribbly' rainbow effect I added water to my gelatos and allowed the colour to run towards the page edges. Washi tape, roller stamps, texture paste and patterned paper strips completed the starburst shape.

My papers are a combination of Amy Tangerine and Crate Paper offcuts and tags. I stamped a few details with my background stamps.

A thickers title and strip journaling completed the page. I do hope that you find time to visit the Stuck blog and browse through the other DT members pages - they are really awesome! Remember to check back often this month as we have 4 sketches going and don't forget the blog hop at the end of the month!
