I love these photos of my youngest daughter - but I was shocked by how grown up she looked in them. I still think of her as my 'baby girl' and I think that I always will even when she's 70 !!! Luckily she loves being my baby and still loves to cuddle up close and sit on mums knee for a story.
I combined the sketch and colour challenges at one of my new favourite blogs, Life, Paper, Scrapbook to create this page.
I had fun creating my starburst background. I sprayed yellow dylusions ink directly onto my plastic starburst mask then I used it like a stamp and placed my cardstock sheet on top of the mask. I pressed the cardstock into the mask for a few minutes. The ink transfers itself onto the cardstock and the resultant starburst has a water-colour like feel. I further enhanced the starburst using gelatos, masks, stamps and ink dribbles. I used my sewing machine to sew a circle into the cardstock background and enhanced the circle with Studio Calico cork chevrons. I matted my photos with layers of patterned paper, a doily cut on my Cameo and various tags, stickers and chipboard elements.
I added some strip journaling to balance out my photo cluster and a sprinkling of studio calico wood veneer stars.
I added my title to the polaroid style frame enhancing my smaller photo.
Thanks for visiting my blog today and hope you are having a great weekend!
