Good Times, Good Friends

Check out this awesome mood board at ;Scrap around the World' I couldn't wait to have a try at this one and I was keen to try to keep to the black and white colour scheme of the board. I had just bought these cool new papers from Scottie Crafts - the 'blackboard' style one is MME 'Chalk Studio' and the lace one is Prima (from their Sunrise/Sunset collection). I also had been unable to resist the washi tape that goes along with the MME collection and this was the perfect opportunity to break into the new pack!
I layered strips of washi tape and PP behind my photo and coated the whole with a light brushing of gesso to blend all the patterns together.

My title and arrow elements are 2Crafty products as is that cool street light.

I clustered a variety of interesting embellishments in black, white and sepia around my photo and added journaling strips to complete the look. The photo that I chose is just a random snapshot of my son, Jaime, and daughter, Natalie, sharing a joke together at a family outing. I love how happy and relaxed they both look.
Thanks for stopping by my blog this morning and I hope that you have a great day
xxSarah
