Adore you - New CSI Challenge!

The new challenge is live over at CSI and what a fantastic one it is. These gorgeous, fresh colours are paired with a fab sketch to inspire you.
I chose this special photo of my son jaime and his beautiful girlfriend Cindy as the subject of my page. I got the 2Crafty chipboard 'couple' piece especially with them in mind because the girl reminded me of cindy. Isn't it gorgeous. I simply painted it black for a silhoutte effect. The title and chevrons are also 2Crafty products.

I created the 'v' shape in the background by using waste cardstock to make a mask to cover the area of the background that I wanted untouched. I used a chevron stencil and texture paste to add the pattern to the V-shaped area. The papers that I used are from Teresa Collins new line 'Daily Stories'. If you haven't already checked it out you should as it is a really cool and versatile collection.

I don't often use flowers on my pages but this photo was screaming out for one! So I chose this gorgeous pink 'Prima' bloom and nested it amonst some plainer white daisies. I love to add a flourish to my flower clusters - bling and blooms were made to be together don't you think?

Hope that you can join us at CSI this week. There are some great prizes (as always) up for grabs! Have a great weekend!

Beautiful page, love the clean look of it.
It would be difficult color scheme for me and made it look natural:)

I KNEW I'd find out about that silhouette if I came on by...it's a beauty...real focal point for me...& clever way of doing that V, too....I'm deffo going to do this Case File...but not sure how to go about that bit. Yet!!!
