At the beginning of this year I decided to do PL on a monthly basis instead of my usual weekly records. As soon as I had made peace with this idea life started to get busy - and I mean really busy. There was the good stuff - Benji turning 5, his Kindy farewell, first day of school, first school trip, family race days (Color run, Albany Lakes series, Round the Bays), friends birthday parties, a wedding... the list just goes on and on - and thats just the good stuff. We have also lost two of our beloved pets over the last fortnight. My daughter's beautiful cat Tibbles was run over and killed outside our house one night and our beloved dog Blue had to be put to sleep on Sunday (possible one of the hardest decisions that I have ever had to make). These stories, though devastating are still a part of our family's history and still need to be recorded. There were so many photos and no way that I could fit them all into a monthly spread. So it is back to weekly for me (at least for a while).
Here are the last 4 weeks of my 2014 album. If you don't do PL, just scroll to the end of this post. I want to include my PL pages on my blog because they are a big part of my scrapping journey. I do try to keep them as simple as possible because then I have time for lots of 'ordinary' 12x12 scrapping too!

Oh crumbs....almost crying here...I KNOW how devastating pets dying can be - but man! That's a cruel blow & making that decision. Sigh. Done that too...also awful:(
Love how you journal the 'everyday' & I think that's the beauty of PL...it's flexible...you can do it whenever you like....it's still a wonderful record:):) And TFS:)
Wow what great memories, you do put so much on each page though.. good on you.. will be wonderful to look back on..
