The new challenge at CSI is live - here is my take on it for the CSI design team. I took a bit of a liberty with the blues to match my photo better and I added a touch of red to the awesome color scheme.
I took the photos of Benji a week or so ago at the end of his school day. He had been to the 'activity' room that day. In the activity room the kids are allowed to do anything that they like so long as it is creative. Well Benji loves to make things with cardboard boxes, string and heaps of tape. Todays creation was a 'speedboat' (I know to you and I it may look a lot like a box on a string, but to him it was most definitely a speedboat). He insisted on pulling his creation through the throngs of children and parents making their way out of school all the way to our home - a block away :)
After inking and masking my background I added some texture paste polka dots for a little added dimension. My papers are from October Afternoon mainly. I have used several pieces of chipboard from 2Crafty. These include the lightbulb tucked behing my sentiment tag which I colored with metallic paste and a gelato pen. Also the 'chickenwire -mesh' tucked under the patterned paper which i painted with white distress paint.

The title word 'wonderful' is also a 2Crafty product. I heat embossed it with blue embossing powder for a neat, shiny finish.

The 2Crafty banner element along the top right corner is painted with white distress paint then partially covered with patterned paper. Some bakers twine completed the look.

From the CSI evidence list i used polka dots, chevrons, hearts and ampersand. i journalled on stacked journaling cards to fulfil the testimony requirements.
Hope you have time to play along with us this week at CSI - have a great weekend
