I am a huge fan of 'Scrap Around the World' and it is always one of the first challenges that I look at when the new month rolls round. This months mood board is stunning. I was inspired by the colours and the brush-stroke style writing as well as the clean white background wall in the first photo.
My daughter Natalie became the proud owner of an i-phone 4 (courtesy of trade-me) this week. She was a little bit excited as you can see from my photo. I used spray inks to make my watercolour-effect background then reached for a mix of October Afternoon and Echo Park papers to complement my page.
The chevron stamp is a new acquisition of mine. It is from Kaisercraft and is part of their awesome range of cool background stamps (i also bought a 'hessian/burlap' stamp which you will no doubt be seeing in the near future)
My title word 'joy' was painted by Natalie herself. She loves to paint words for me with Indian ink and a paint brush and I can't get enough of them! I used a stencil and 'inktense' aqua pencils to make the circles. I painted water over the pencil lines and allowed it to drip down the page to get the 'dribble' effect.
Thanks for visiting my blog today. hope you are having a great week and have chance to check out this fabulous challenge yourself sometime this month!
