Proud of you - Aug 1st challenge from 'Stuck? Sketches'

Here is the new challenge from Stuck Sketches and my take on it for the Stuck? design team. This month Stuck is combining with Lets Capture Our Memories and using their colour palate (above).
Last week my elder daughter 'Natalie' participated in her high school's production of 'Return to the Forbidden Planet. She has always enjoyed dancing and has danced on-stage many times over the years in competitions and concerts. This, however, was her first experience of acting a main character in a musical production. She was 'Miranda' one of two main female characters. She had a lot of solo singing to do and she really blew us away with her amazing voice and impressive acting. I think she surpassed her own expectations of herself too!
I took a lot of photos (of course) but these two were amongst my favourite. At this part of the play Natalie was onstage with her friend Charisse and I think they look really sweet together. The colours also went well with the 'Lets Capture our Memories' colour scheme.
I love this bokah background paper - I had been saving it for a special page and this was it! It reminds me of the stage lights and I used a Studio Calico mask to spray through and continue the 'spotlight' effect.

The rest of my papers are from October Afternoon's 'Public Library' collection (I LOVE this collection soooooo much!) The heart panel is the negative left over from a sticker sheet and I have added a silver doily which I thought matched the 'stage glamour' effect well.

I journaled on an October Afternoon speech bubble and added a banner made up from Studio Calico wooden pennants on bakers twine.

My title is an awesome Chipboard phrase from Creative Embellishments. They have some beautiful chipboard and other embellishments for you to drool over if you are craving a little retail therapy :) I heat embossed the words with white embossing powder for a glossy look.
I hope that you have time to join in with our challenges at 'Stuck' this month. Can't wait to see what you come up with using this great sketch and colour combination. Have a great weekend!
