Love You - Scrap Around the World's February challenge

Here is the February mood board over at Scrap Around the World. Isn't it gorgeous! I was inspired by the lovely forest green colours and the ethereal lighting effects in the photos. This photo of my youngest daughter and my husband was taken deep in a Kauri forest in the North of New Zealand. I love the way that the sunlight is kissing Sophie's face and arm and the look of pure joy on Marks face as he embraces his little girl.
I used a variety of paper offcuts for my background conbined of course with inking and splatters. I used strips of green washi tape to 'lift' my photo from the background art.

I love these bold black thicker words that I have used for my title - they have so much impact on a page. I added the story behind the photo directly below it using a gel pen directly on my gessoed background.

I really enjoyed this challenge - thanks SATW for the inspiration !
