Happy memories - CSI 166 DT page

Here is the newest challenge at CSI and my take on it for the CSI design team. I really liked the sketch - although it did stretch me outside my comfort zone!
I had fun tearing up offcut strips to layer across the top of my page then inked, sprayed and stencilled the entire background. I took the photo a few weeks ago at a family meal to wish my son's lovely girlfriend 'Bon Voyage' on her trip to Mexico. It was a lovely evening and I wanted to keep my page upbeat and fun to reflect the atmosphere.
From the evidence list I used scallops, butterflies and stamps. I journaled on the background paper to fulfil the testimony criteria. Here are some close-up shots:

Have a great week and do check out the CSI blog - we would love to see your take on this weeks challenge!

I really REALLY like that 'string'??? I'm sure I can see some threads....of round shapes, dangling down....they look brill! And the ripping....you always excel at layers. Sometimes I spray some mist, or something & it looks crap, & I think....Sarah would just add some more stuff....so off I go. And 9/10 times, it works!! I love seeing your layers!!! That is a LONG time away, be a bit of a relationship 'test'....good to do it when she can, though, of course:):)
