I took this gorgeous photo of her practicing with her big sister natalie for the Xmas recitals coming up over the next few weeks. I love the way the ray of sunlight cuts a diagonal through the background.
I wanted to keep the page fairly simple to make the photo really shine and I love the way the black background makes the red tones in the photo really 'pop'.
I kept close to the sketch as I really loved it. I even added flowers from my stash (well a ballet page has to have flowers doesnt it?). The wooden butterflies and stars seemed to fit well with the theme.
I handwrote my journaling onto the background cardstock with a white gel pen and added my title to a chipboard heart.
Thanks for visiting my blog today and taking time to view my work. Have a great week and I hope you have time to pop over to the 'Stuck' blog to check out the challenges there for yourself!
