Taronga Zoo - CSI 181

Last month I sadly made the decision to resign from my design team commitmnets to spend more quality time making memories with my family  (before they are all grown up!). I have loved working with the lovely Debbie at CSI so it will come as no surprise to see that I couldnt resist joining in with the current challenge (as a non-DT member).
These photos are record a very special day. Last school holidays we made a snap decision to take a weeks holiday in Sydney. My eldest son was playing in a soccer tournament there and it was also his birthday week so I took my two kiddies and my adult daughter Natalie and we decided to surprise Chris by joining him over in Aussie.
Now, it just so happens that my scrappy friend Lizzy lives just an hour away from Sydney - so meeting up was essential! We decided on a day trip to Taronga Zoo - something that both the kiddies and adults would enjoy. It was a beautiful sunny day and we had a fabulous time. I really wish that Lizzy and I lived closer because I think that we would spend a lot of time together if that was the case. As I say in my journaling I think we must have been sisters in a previous life because our likes and dislikes are so similar! Lizzy, you are honestly one of the neatest people that I know and I am so, so happy that scrapbooking brought us together!!!
Anyway, back to my page; I chose a random sel;ection of photos that I loved from our day and arranged them in a cluster on the page. I inked my background then I used a favourite technique of mine - throwing together random paper offcuts, tags and ephemera to make a matt for my photo cluster. It is a great way to use up older stash!

As I had a lot to say about this page I wrote my journaling on a tag and tucked it behind one of the photos. I always staple tags to my page using bakers twine to make sure that they don't accidently get separated from each other.
Thanks for visiting my page - do go over to the CSI blog and check out their awsome DT examples for this challenge here: Have a great week!
