Hello - K+ February challenge

I always love the challenges over at Kraft Plus and this months is no exception. I chose this cute photo of my adult son Jaime and his little brother Benji as the focus of my page.
The theme this month is 'Postage stamps. I was lucky enough to find this postage stamp shaped sheet of Kraft patterned paper in my stash from an old MME collection (I think!).
I had fun inking and splattering my background before building up the layers of paper and embellishments under the photo. I found some postage themed stamps which were great for adding detail to my background.

Since my old sewing machine recently stopped working I used my daughter's machine to create a stitched circle to ground my photo and embellishments to the page. This was taking a big risk doing this because she says that her machine is strictly a 'no paper and sticky tape' zone lol !!!

Thanks for visiting my blog today :)

This is so lovely Saraz . Gorgeous photo and I think the stitching was well worth risking your daughters wrath as it really adds to the layout. I am busy with my postage page and have also used a serrated border so please don't think I got the idea from yours . !!
