As you may already know Helen Tilbury's awesome challenge blog 'Scrap around the World' is celebrating its first birthday this month. 2Crafty chiboard are one of the sponsors for this epic event.
Here are the details:
"This
is no ordinary month at Scrap Around the World.
9 out of 10 of the prizes awarded will be going to past Winners,
Features or Finalists (those featured on their legendary Wall of Fame in the
past year) & one prize will be awarded to a totally NEW winner {someone who
has never featured on their Wall of Fame before}. This is so that TEN EPIC WINNERS can be
selected as the TOP TEN PLAYERS of 2013/14 at Scrap Around The World!
This will be a yearly competition held at
this fantastic challenge blog and we are honoured to be a part of this
inaugural event. Please support Helen and her team at SATW by playing along this month. There are 10 prizes, each valued at
approximately $100 up for grabs, including free postage as usual, so it is so
worth it, plus the inspiration is amazing!”
Here is my page for the 2crafty reveal based on the SATW anniversary mood board above. I was inspired to use a birthday photo from Benjis 5th birthday celebration earlier this year. I also used colours taken from the mood board.
I sprayed, inked and stencilled the background in a 'celebratory' style :) I added my patterned papers and photos then chose the chipboard pieces to complement my page. Firstly the polaroid style frame which I painted blue and inked.
Next came my favourite chevron pieces - which I use on almost everything!
Finally I added the cute birthday cake element. I shaved a little off this piece to make it fit my page better then I coloured it with gelatos.
Do go over to Scrap Around the World and check out the amazing talent over there. There are pages from the other 2Crafty and SATW design team members as well as inspiration from a host of guest designers. As you can see from the info above it is well worth the effort of entering the SATW challenge this month - the prizes up for grabs are amazing!
Have a great week :)
