Model exhibition with Oma and Opa

We had a fun family afternoon today at Oma and Opa's house for lunch then on to the Henderson model and miniature exhibition. Oma and Opa visited it yesterday and thought that the kids would like it. They were right. Jaime loved the Star Wars stuff and the old-fashioned meccano and the girls loved the miniature doll houses and fairy trees. We always have such great times with Marks parents. We are so blessed to have such loving and involved grandparents. The kids adore spending time with their Oma and Opa. I only wish that my dad lived in NZ and could be a part of our lives too. I really miss having him around and it breaks my heart that the kids will never really know him well. I love the photo of Sophie gazing in awe at the fairy house with her baby doll Katy (who goes everywherewith her) in her little frontpack. Natalie loved this amazing model of a stagecoach so much that the man who made it lifted it down from its pedestal and put it on the floor for her to get a closer look!
