Here are a few of LOs that I put together this week using the gorgeous Sassafras ''Monstrosity" range. I am so in love with these fun papers - they are great for both boy and girl LOs. The tree in the first LO took me ages. I used the design on one of Sophies new Pumpkin Patch T shirts for inspiration. I cut the tree trunk from brown felt and machine sewed it to my cardstock. Then I cut the leaves from patterned paper and used pop dots to give dimension to some of them. Doodled stitching finished of the tree beautifully. The owls and birds were cut from patterned paper scraps.
I really love the final result .
For the second LO I made two photo collages using free downloads from the fabulous Scrapbooks etc website. I then used the Monstrosity papers to tie the two collages together in a 8 1/2 x 11 double page spread. The resulting busy, bright LO is perfect for my sons first birthday memories.
The third LO was inspired by the silly photos of my teenage sons and a recent snap of baby Benji with his finger in his mouth in exactly the same pose! I didn''t have the right coloured alphas for the title word " Brothers" so I used blue embossing powder on naked chipboard thickers. This makes a lovely shiny ''enamel'' like finish. A layer of dimensional magic over the top really brings out the shine!
