These gorgeous Prima papers could have been made with these photos in mind. The colours were this weeks challenge from The Colour Room and are a perfect match for Sophie's beautiful new pettiskirt (an easter gift). I took these photos as she played in our garden, so happy and without a care in the world. as soon as I saw the photos i wanted to scrap them right away. I had recently purchased a Cheery Lynn doily die from Scotty Craft and I wanted to play with it. I cut out a white doily, cut it into two and used it to make a skirt for the chipboard dress form shape. The little picket fence is another new 'toy' of mine - a tim Holtz die also from Scotty Craft. I already have the Martha Stewart picket fence edge cutter and initially I wasn't sure that I needed this new TH die as well, but I'm very glad that I got it as it is much deeper than the Martha Stewart punch and gives quite a different look. I really love this LO. Little Sophie's happy face makes me smile each time I look at it. I wish I could keep her just the way she is now for ever (sigh).
Last week my eldest son bought himself a new suit (with a little help from the easter Bunny aka mum and dad!) A few evenings later he dressed up in all his finery to go to a friends Casino Royale party. I took these photos of him before he left. It is hard to believe that only a few short years ago he was a little boy! Look at him now. A young man of twenty. Where has the time gone? The papers that I used are Bo Bunny and Studio Calico (a manufacturer that I have recently discovered and am quickly falling in love with). I made the banner by handcutting brown and slightly smaller red triangles and layering them on top of each other.
