Sophie loves to dress up in her sister's clothes so she was thrilled when Natalie suggested that she try on this tutu. Natalie outgrew the tutu a few years ago as it was her very first competition tutu that she got when she was nine. Ofcourse it was still too big for Sophie but with some pins and tape we made it fit. She spent a happy half hour dancing around the garden, twirling and jumping and saying that now she was a 'real' ballerina and when she grew up that is what she is going to be :)
I have based the LO on the current sketch over at Sketchy Thursdays. I have had the Pink Paislee resist paper in my stash for a while and this seemed to be a great opportunity to use it as I wanted to make my own shade of soft pink for the background. I used a mix of glimmer mist and distress stains to get the colour that I wanted. Sophie was thrilled with the page she said "Oh Mummy, I look so pretty", sigh!

Beautiful Sarah. And I just love how Sophie felt so beautiful in the tutu too. Isn't it just wonderful to have great big sisters who are willing to share their treasured possessions too. So precious!!

I had to do a double take on while reading your blog and seeing your LO! I have an older daughter also named Natalie who is a ballerina and a younger daughter named Sophie who is following in her big sister's footsteps :) So cool! And I really love your LO, it's gorgeous!
