I loved the sketch challenge at the MME blog this month. I just had to have a go at it and here is my page. I took the photos on Friday at one of our local parks. The weather here over the school holidays has been amazing and we decided to make the most of the sunshine and head out of doors. I flipped the sketch for this page and I used my Crafters Workshop hexagon mask to spray the background paper in a rough artisan shape as per the sketch. I then splattered yellow paint and sprayed glimmer mist randomly over the paper. I used Tim Holts distress stain to bring out the resist pattern on my butterflies and added a gorgeous MME butterfly brad to the centre of one to really make a feature of it.
Incidentally the Friday team over at Frosted Designs are using hexagons as their challenge this week - there are some great prizes up for grabs if you are up for a fun challenge.
