New Challenge up at Frosted Designs and Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge

First the new challenge is up over at Frosted Designs. Here is my take on it for their design team.

My little man started kindy a couple of weeks ago and these photos were taken on his very first day. I especially love the middle one. I had called his name to take the photo and he turned and said "Shhhh mummy your not allowed to talk cuz its mat time :)" I loved this sketch as it allowed me to use three of my favourite photos from this special day. In the first photo he is sitting up next to his teacher being introduced to the other kids and in the last he is sitting listening to the story at mat time (I love his little bare feet!!).
I did lots of stamping and spraying on the background cardstock. I stuck some Tim Holtz tissue tape randomly for interest and gave the whole backgroound a light brush with gesso to unite all my elements. My papers and most of the embellies are Kaisercraft. The cute wooden clocks are ofcourse, Prima.
Do have a look at the Frosted Designs blog and see the other DT amazing pages based on this sketch. It is definitely worth trying this one yourself - the prizes include a full paper pack from the gorgeous Basic Grey Lauderdale collection and more!! - thanks to our sponsor 'My Scraps and More'
Now for the second new challenge  - it's over at Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge. Here is the sketch and my design team take.

These pictures of my lovely mother-in-law dancing with my little son are really special to me. The challenge is to use the above sketch to scrap a page with a 'mothers' theme (as mother's day has recenly been celebrated in many parts of the world). I have just purchased a couple of the new 'dylusions' stencils/masks from Ranger (Dyan Reaveley) and I used the diamond one to spray my background. If you haven't seen Dyan's work do check out this video she is truly inspirational!!
My papers are from Simple Stories and MME. The chippie swirls are Kaisercraft.
There are more great prizes to be had at AFSC if you show us your own take on this sketch - and guest DT places up for grabs :)))

Sooo cute! I love that Kindy layout and what a precious memory - as is your second layout too! Fantastic!!

BTW - that cute white with pink polka dots washi tape was bought at a store in Adelaide called "Trip to the Moon" - so not very close to you... I'm sure there's some available on the net though!

Have a great weekend!!! :D
