Scampi on the Pier

This month these two great challenge sites, Once Upon a Sketch and CSI have joined forces and are issuing 4 challenges! This is the first.
Now I have to admit when I first saw those colours I nearly filed this one away in the 'too hard' box. They are so not the normal colours that I scrap with. But, I love both these challenge blogs so I decided I really wanted to give it a go. I ended up with a page that I really like and I have scrapped a special memory for myself and my son. I used some older Bo Bunny winter themed paper for my background and sprayed brown ink through a Dylusions alphabet mask. The rest of my paper strips are from the October Afternoon 'Farmhouse' collection. My 'evidence' is the letters scattered as embellishments and misting. My Testamony uses a speech bubble (something I have never used before either!). Those fantastic ink splodges in the background are actually part of a stamp set that I got a long time ago from Cocoa Daisy.
Well there you have it. I did it! a page without bright colours - and I actually really like it :)

This is totally bizarre...but I just used this paper on a LO on saturday ..haven't loaded it yet....almost did it for csi but in the end for orange paperie!!!!!! I love these papers but find them hard to use as they're so dark....what you've done is awesome & it's a great memory, for certain:):):)
