A New Tradition

Check out this mid-month challenge at 'Stuck' sketches. Here is my take for the Stuck DT. This is a really good sketch to showcase that one special photo. I used this photo of my eldest son Chris with his beautiful girlfriend Libby. I took it at the restaurant where we celebrated Chris's 22nd birthday. I wanted to use my Pink Paislee 'Portfolio' papers which didn't match the colours in Chris's shirt so I converted the photo to black and white. I layered heaps of scraps of papers under the photo - I love to do this as it is a good way to use up all those scraps of paper that are too good to throw out and it looks great too. I kept the rest of the LO quite simple as I really wanted the photo to shine. I clustered a few flowers in the corner of my photo and balanced them with a circle of baker's twine (from Purple Pumpkin).
I finished off my page with some Washi tape and handwritten journaling.
Hope you have time to have a go at this one - there are great prizes up for grabs :)
