Happy new year!!! full of New Challenges :)))

Here is the first new challenge - the sketch at Purple Pumpkin.
How cool is this sketch? For my DT take I flipped it onto its side so that I could use these photos of my little one playing his big brother's drums. Jaime had taken the drum set outside to clean and Benji just couldn't help but seranade us (and the whole street).
I had not used my sewing machine for a while and I must have missed it because I completely went to town with the machine stitching on this oage :) I used up more of my October Afternoon Christmas collection and added finishing touches from Purple Pumpkin. Check out the cute PP buttons, the red felt doily and the bakers twine.
Now for the second page that I would like to share with you:
This is for Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge. The challenge is this:
What will be your new year's resolution this year. What do you wish you could resolve and stick to???

If you have not made a resolution for this year, scrap about your resolution from another year. Were you successful? Would you do it again??
A little tricky, but a lot of fun to get done. For years I had resolved to get fit. In 2011 I found that I was getting out of breath carrying my baby upstairs to bed. I decided that if I wanted to be healthy for my kids as they grow up I needed to do something NOW. So I went out and bought my first set of Nike running shoes and began the next day. One year later and I get up at 5.45 every weekday morning and run 5kms. It takes me around 35 mins so i am no speed star but I am getting so much fitter and I am so proud that I actually did it after all the years of procrastinating.
The papers that I used are from the Now and Then collection (Teresa Collins) - aptly named I thought :) I love this collection - the papers co-ordinate well with most of my photos and there are heaps of gorgeous embellishments to complement the line! Check out the cute little butterfly closure on my envelope - it is from Purple Pumpkin.
Hope you are enjoying your holiday and that you had a great new year. If you feel like a challenge do check out both these blogs - the other DT members have put up some amazing examples to inspire you :)

I seem to be following Lizzy C around tonight!!! I LOVE that 'back' photo of B on the's uber cute!!! And GO the sewing machine, I say!!! LOVE that you took a photo of your new shoes then after they've pounded the pavements. That's a BIG thing to do - well done. Me, I'm saving my body for when I get old. So I can't exercise. It would wear out!!!! That's my theory, & it works for me!!!!!!!!!!
Fingers get the most work out on my computer keyboard. That's enough!!!!!!!!!!!
