And Still she Smiles :)

You can tell you are addicted to scrapbooking when you are in the plaster room of the local accident and emergency clinic watching your 8-year old daughter having her arm casted and you pull out your i-phone to get a photo!!! Well Sophie didn't mind - she was so excited about finally getting a cast (her friend had one last year lol) that she couldn't wipe the smile from her face. I have to say that the novelty is wearing a bit thin already - especially since she has to keep her cast dry and the weather is sunny and hot! Anyway here she is being plastered up. The plaster nurse asked big sister Natalie to hold Sophies arm up in the correct position (since she could see that mum was much too busy taking photos !!)
I inked and masked the background and let Sophie do the ink splatters for me :) This page is for the current CSI challenge here:

From the evidence list I used: butterflies, plain white background, buttons and string. I added buttons to my journaling block to fulfil the journaling criteria. My papers are Teresa Collins. I coloured over the two larger flowers with a yellow Copic marker to change their colour from red to dark orange to fit in with the colour scheme and Natalie's apron.
Check out a close-up of  the butterflies:

I used the new Tim Holtz distress paints to decorate them (Scottie Crafts have practically all the colours available in store right now). I stamped my butterfly using a chequerboard stamp and 'Weathered Wood' distress paint. When the paint was dry I sprayed over with white Studio Calico spray ink. The painted areas resist the spray ink - so cool!!!
Have a great day :)
