This is the latest challenge at Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge :
You are always free to create a layout, art journalling page, card or tag for our challenges, as long as you keep with the spirit of the themeWhat did you want to be when you grew up? A doctor? A fireman? A nurse? An astronaut? A mommy??
I had so much fun with this challenge. Natalie took this cool photo of me at the beach in February and I had been wanting to scrap it since. I don't often do pages solely about myself, and I love AFSC because it makes me step out of my comfort zone and challenge myself. When I was a child I dreamed of being a dancer (an ice-dancer actually). I never had a chance of doing anything with that dream because my parents couldn't afford dance classes for me (I already did horse-riding which I loved, but which was also an expensive hobby).
I used my new starburst mask to spray the background and then I used a roller stamp to follow along the lines of the starburst. My papers are a mix of Studio Calico and American Craft. I layered up dye-cuts to make the flower and added some leaves and bakers twine. The strip of photo negatives is from 'Tim Holtz' I have used two tins of this so far :)
This is a really cool challenge to try if you want a challenge this month!

That starburst is sensational ...how you 'switched it up'...looks great & soo suits the photo...it's brill. You look like one of your kids, so fit, trim & healthy!!! I wanted to do ballet desperately..but couldn't afford to & lived in the country where it simply wasn't available...I might have to join in this challenge:):):)
