Adorable and Adored

Have you checked out the newest collection from Crate Paper - The Pier? I thought that nothing could surpass their last 'Maggie Holmes' collection but this is just as awesome. I love not only the papers but all the little co-ordinating bits and bobs that go along with it. I especially adore the chipboard 'polaroid' frames and the new transparencies.
This page is for the June competition over at the Crate Paper blog. The theme is 'polkadots'. I used my Cameo to cut the line of polkadots along the bottom of my cardstock then I backed it onto a co-ordinating sheet of 'The Pier' paper. I used my gelato pens to colour around the dots then spritzed the page with water and allowed the gelatos to run downwards - cool eh! I built up a mat for my photo using a variety of Crate paper tags, papers and polaroid frames. I machine sewed on my title and a few details around the photo. The yellow flowers were perfect for this page and were a gift from 'Scrapfriends' when I bought my gelatos - thanks so much Scrapfriends!

As a finishing touch I used some of the dots that had been left over on the Cameo mat after cutting the background as 'confetti' and sprinkled them across the page with a few punched out butterflies. A little Washi tape and some journaling and the page is complete :)

Hope your weekend is going well and that those of you in NZ are keeping warm in this cold weather!
