Masquerade Fun

If you are here for the 2Craft Blog Hop please scroll down!!!!

Here is the new challenge at CSI and my DT take on it.

Now that pink is bright even by my standards but I had just the photo to match it! Last Friday Sophie went to her first 'senior' disco at school at the theme was 'masquerade'. We found this perfect mask at the local $2 store and she just loved it.
I sprayed my backgroound with two colours of ink (raspberry and grass green), when they mixed together the green turned a little dark for this colour scheme but I went with it anyway as it seemend to match the photo well. I used my vast stamp collection (which I had been feeling a little guilty about neglecting recently) to make a border around the page. It took so long to do this that I kept the rest of the page fairly simple so that I wouldn't cover up too much of my stamp work. From the evidence list I chose lace/ruffles and metal ( the tab beneath the photo negative strip). I added lace under my journaling spot to fulfil the testimony criteria.  The pink feathers I plucked directly from the mask - Soph hasn't noticed that the plumage looks a little thinner on her mask yet lol :)
Here's a wee close up of the feathers and journaling. The cardstock feathers are from Studio Calico.

Do visit CSI this week and try out the challenge. There are fabulous prizes up for grabs every single week and as they say 'you have to be in to win'. Have a great weekend - I am taking my girls and Benji to see the 'Disney Princesses on Ice' show today and we are all super-excited! Natalie is busy right now transforming Sophie into Princess Aurora (Sophs favourite princess:). I expect you will see lots of disney photos featuring in my pages over the next few weeks.
