Sketchabilities'. here is the sketch that I based it on:
Isn't that a cool sketch. I had just taken these two photos of Benji and Sophie. Sophie had spent a good half hour playing with his hair and putting it into 'pigtails'. He was very tolerant but beginning to show his exasperation by the end (see smaller photo). The trials of having big sisters!
I used my new gelato pens to make the watercolour effect background. I am so enjoying playing with these pens and highly recommend them if you enjoy making your own multi-media backgrounds. I used them to make a watercolour wash, splatters, paper hearts and the paint circles. The paint circles were especially satisfying - I simply drew around the rims of a teacup (larger circle) and egg cup (smaller circle) with a grey gelato. I spritzed the rims with water and stamped onto my page - so easy and so cool!! Here is a close up of the result.
My papers are again offcuts from a variety of manufacturers. I punched the hearts from book print paper and coloured them with red and pink gelatos. I wrote my journaling on a couple of tags that I found in my Teresa Collins stash.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today :)
