And still he Smiles

Although these photos are not the usual happy photos that we like to scrap, I wanted to include them in Benji's album. We had had to rush to the emergency room with him after a severe attach of croup. I left his sister (8) at home with her big brother and she was really upset and worried about him. I wanted to pxt her a photo to show that he was OK. As I took the first shot Benji saw what I was doing and even though I'm sure it was the last thing that he felt like doing, he managed this weak little smile for the camera.
I used the criteria at 'Scrap the boys' for this page :

Monochromatic layout (one colour), twine and chipboard

The blue coloour is so strong in the photos that a monochromatic blue scheme suited the photos well. I tried not to use too much of the exact same shade as the blue in the photos so that my photos would still 'pop' from the background.
My papers are a combination of Studio Calico, MME and Crate paper. The chipboard frames are Crate Paper (I bought two packets as I love them so much!). I tied a little bakers twine around the date frame to add interest and fulsil the challenge criteria.

Here is a close up of my journaling incase you want to read the details :)

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day :)

Such a beautiful page, and he looks so sweet and sick. Croup is a boys thing, I have been sitting a lot of nights in the bathroom with the shower on with my boys. And it makes you afraid.

Oh th epoor little man. I know how you feel - sort of, my youngest was born two months premmie and we spent the first few months in and out of the hospital as she always got Bronchiolitis. It's terrible. I hope he is doing ok now.
I love how you have managed to fill the entire page here - I really love the design and your embellies!
