Flying high!

August is 'Stuck' sketches birthday month and they are puttig up two extra sketches to celebrate. The first bonus sketch is now live - check it out here:

Above is my take on the sketch for the Stuck design team. You have to use the sketch, but there is a twist. You must also use the quote 'In the end it is not the years in your life that count but the life in your years!'  (one of my favourite quotes).
For my page I flipped the sketch through 90 degrees. I love this photo of Natalie on the trapieze at the circus park in KeriKeri, Northland. As she is a ballerina she took to the trapieze like a duck to water and was quite a natural. It took a few tries to 'fly' from one swing to the other but she persevered and was very proud of herself.
I wanted the photo to really stand out so I printed it at a large (6x8") size. Most of my papers are American Craft, Crate paper and Studio Calico (nothing new there lol). Those Studio Calico wood veneer stars are so fun to use! I am really loving them. I also love the vellum shaker envelope containing sequines that is peeping out from the right upper corner of the photo. It arrived in my stash via a Project Life kit from Studio Calico and had been longing to use it but not sure what to do with it! I finally took the plunge here and I think it works.

I used Photoshop to add the quote directly to my photo - it was the perfect photo to do this with as there is so much 'white space'.

Head over to the Stuck blog to check out the other DT members fantastic pages. Remember there and 4 chances to participate in the Stuck sketches this month (lots of prizes!!!) and a blog hop coming up at the end of the month :)
