Take Three

I just had time to squeeze in one more challenge before the months end - so here is my take on the current colour challenge at 'Scrapfriends'.
I have to admit that these are not my first choice of 'go to' colours but when they are put together they look really great. I chose to scrap this photo of my older daughter and sons because I thought that the colours would suit a 'teen' themed page well. Natalie is doing NCEA photography this year and she was setting up a photo studio in our garage to photograph her brother for her chosen theme. I couldn't resist snapping a photo of her as she was bossing everyone around to get the photo 'just right'. She has chosen the 'film photography' option so there is no photoshopping allowed and the prints have to be perfect straight off.
I sprayed and inked my background before selecting papers to match the colours. I used quite a lot of black highlighting to really make the page 'pop' and to enhance the 'teen' theme.
Iembellished my page with a variety 'photography' themed items. The 2crafty chipboard film strips were perfect and I arranged a single strip cut in half lengthwise above and below my photo to give a kind of 'director's clipboard' feel. My gear and light bulb are also 2Crafty products. I covered both with metallic paste.

I added a little strip of Tim Holts film transparency strip anchored in place with a Prima button. I added my journaling to a MAMBI journaling card and popped it into a pocket alongside my photo. A small title added onto the photo was all that I needed to complete the page.
Thanks for visiting my blog today and you still have time to check out this challenge at 'Scrapfriends' and enter yourself.
