My last 2crafty Post for 2013

Hi everyone, I hope that you all had a very happy Christmas with your loved ones. Now all the festivities are over its time to relax a little and spend time doing what you love which hopefully includes a little crafting.
I have three pages to share with you today. The first 'Simply the Best' showcases a couple of photos that I took of my little 4-year old entertaining the family at dinner time with his 'jokes'. Now Benji loves being the centre of arrention and his jokes are hillarious in that they are totally unfunny and often do not make any sense at all.
I used a star template and white dylusions spray ink for my background. I piled on a selection of journaling cards and paper scraps to mat my photos. Check out the 2Crafty elements:
I have framed the main photo with a 2crafty polaroid frame. I really love these frames - they are so versatile and give a favourite photo that special touch. I used silver paste to colour this frame, inked the edges and finished off the effect with a sticker and some bakers twine.

I also love the quirky 2Crafty lightbulbs. They come in packs of three and are just perfect to add a touch of whimsy to any page! I have used silver paste on this item too.

My title 'simply the best' is a 2Crafty phrase painted with distress paint. My favourite chevrons also feature on this page - drawing the eye to the title. They are coated with silver paste and the edges are inked.

The second page that I would like to share today is called '5K Fun Run'. Last month my two girls and I participated in a local fun run. It was the first time that they had run a straight 5k and they both did really well - we ran together and crossed the finish line in 35 mins.

Again I used the 2Crafty polaroid frame and this time I coloured it with a metallic gelato pen before winding some bakers twine around the bottom and tying it into a bow.

The arrow alongside my journaling spot is another cool 2Crafty product. I painted it with white distress paint, inked the edges then stamped over it with stayz-on ink and a script background stamp.
I made the cool chevron border along the right hand side of my page by lining up a column of chevron bits painted black. The chippie arrow and the chevrons 'frame' the photo block drawing the eye in towards it.

The final page that I would like to share today is one that I created as my design team contribution to a recent CSI challenge.

The photo that I used of my daughter Natalie was taken by her friend Claudia for her photography exam board. All the chipboard that I have used on this page is from 2Crafty. I tucked the summer stem behind my photo overlapping it slightly to ground the elements. I painted it with 'Lake Mist' distress paint and inked the edges.

The lovely title 'You are Beautiful Inside and Out' was perfect for my page theme. I painted it withblack distress paint and coated it with dimensional magic to add a little shine. I completed the page with some chevron details also painted black then outlined with a white paint pen.

Well that's all I have for this year!!! As we farewell 2013 I hope that you all have a very happy New Year and I look forward to being back in 2014 with more inspiration to share.
