Some Pages from my Travel Diary

As it has been a while since I last posted I thought I would let you see what I have been working on :)

A couple of weeks ago our family of 8 and the older two boys girlfriends went to the beautiful Gold Coast for a pre-Christmas family holiday. We had so much fun along the way! I took a 'Smash' style album with me to journal our adventures in each day and sinc we returned a week ago I have been adding our photos and memorabilia to my pages.

As I had lots and lots of photos and I wanted to include almost all of them into my book I printed out  a variety of  sizes and shapes. I also made page extenders by attaching 6x8 page protectors to some of my pages using washi tape as hinges. These side pages then fold outwards resulting a 4 page spread to work on.

The same effect can be achieved by cutting cardstock pieces instead of page protectors.

As I had a lot of memorabilia to include I used a variety of paper pockets (both store bought and hand made) to pop tickets and tags into.

I stamped and cut out some of my journaling spots and interspersed these handmade ones with manufactured stickers and labels. I didn't worry too much about it all co-ordinating perfectly as I like the explosion of colour and design on each page. It reminds me of the happy chaos that we experienced on our trip.

I hope you have enjoyed a peak into my holiday diary. I will have more pages to show as I complete them over the next few weeks.
Thanks for visiting my blog today. I hope that you all have a very happy Christmas with your friends and loved ones and that 2014 is a great year for you all :)
