A Pocket Page using Kaisercraft's 'Now Boarding' Collection

This week I decided to try something a little different with my Scottie crafts kit. It has been a busy week in our family with Benji's 5th birthday and my father-in-Laws 82nd. In our family the birthday celebrant gets to choose a special family outing as their 'birthday treat'. When Sophie turned 9 she chose to go rock climbing so ofcourse Benji wanted to do that too. He was one of the littlest kids at the climbing centre but he had an absolute blast! A few days later we were stuck with the dilemma of how to celebrate two such widely different birthdays as a 5th and an 82nd together! We finally came up with a day at the zoo! Our whole family met at Auckland zoo on Saturday morning and we had a lovely day together. Benji was so excited to see all the animals and relished being the centre of attention (as did Opa!).
The 'Now Boarding collection from Kaisercraft is marketed as a travel themed collection but its muted colours were perfect as a backdrop for my very colourful rock wall photos. The miscellany bag has heaps of small, flat embellishments which are perfect for adding detail and interest to packet pages without adding umwanted bulk.

The outdoorsy zoo photos also matched well with the neutral colours of this collection. I changed the wording on some of the phrase stickers to match my theme better. This is really easy to do using mini-alphas and simply sticking them over the top of the unwanted words. For example the title on my first page 'Lets Rock the World Together' actually originally read 'Lets Travel the World Together'.

Hope that you have enjoyed this little peep into my project life folder and that I have managed to inspire you to take a look a this awesome and versatile collection. The entire 'Now Boarding' range is available from Scottie crafts.
