Brilliant to be Cast Free - OUAS May challenge

Here is the new May sketch from Once Upon a Sketch and my interpretation of it. The journaling requirement this month is 'anything goes' - easy eh!!
I took this photo of Sophie last week after we returned from the hospital and she had the cast removed from her arm. It has healed beautifully - so she decided that the first thing she would do to celebrate being 'cast free'  would be to try out the same monkey bars that she fell from 6 weeks ago!!! Sometimes its hard to be a mother!
For the background effect I sprayed yellow ink onto my craft mat then pressed my white cardstock sheet down onto it. I layered strips of washi tape and paper strips across the centre of the page and added stamped details. I kept to a black and white colour scheme for my papers and embellishments as this seemed to allow my photo to 'pop'.

My title word 'brilliant' is a Heidi Swapp product and I paired it with a mini-alpha sub-title. I handwrote my journaling to complete the page.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope that you will have a great week!

I like this page, especially layers under the photo! Does it you take long to make a page? Not only gluing everything together but also deciding where and what to glue.

I hear you you, but you know what they say about getting back up on the horse after a fall :/ It is not easy being a mother :( I am so glad her arm is OK. I love your style Sarah and this one is no exception. The background is gorgeous and the photo just captures it all. Thanks so much for playing along with us at OUAS this month. :D
