Today I have another challenge to get you racing to your craft supplies eager to scrap :) This is the August challenge from 1,2,3, Challenge Blog and my take on it for the design team. All that gorgeous pink got me thinking of 'girlie' pages but as my daughter's recent stage debut was still 'topic of the week' in our family I couldn't go past this photo of Natalie and her 'Spaceman' Jacob, onstage in the finale of 'Return to the Forbidden Planet'. The red tones in the photo blend well with the pinks and greys that I used in my background.
A touch of gold in the doily and the stars gives the page a little 'glamour' and helps to recreate the atmosphere of the moment. The title is another awesome chipboard phrase from 'Creative Embellishments' . It was the perfect sentiment for this photo.
As usual I hand-wrote my journaling straight onto the page - it really is the easiest way to add journaling and looks great too :)

This is a wonderful take on the challenge as most of us thought little girl layout with the pink color.. looks amazing, love the pink on your back ground and what a special photo too!
