Life has been crazy busy around here for the last few weeks. My girls are keen dancers and have been rehearsing full on for their end of year shows. I feel like a full time taxi driver! Poor little Benji just has to tag along and make the best of it. He is such a good little man.
It has been a while since I was able to do a challge 'just because'. I had a few spare hours yesterday evening and this morning so I indulged myself with this cool mood board from 'Off the Rails' scrapbooking.
Now the colours are not my usual 'go to' colours but they look so good together and matched my photos so well. The theme is 'something Christmassy' and at first glance this page does not seem at all Christmassy. But the trip to Disneyland was my gift to myself and my kids last Christmas. We booked the trip to co-incide with the Disneyland half marathon weekend (my gift to myself as I love running!) and, ofcourse, the kids got to come along as my cheer squad. I think it is a Christmas present that they will remember for ever!!!
I sprayed and inked my background with watered down white acrylic paint and stayz-on ink. I drew the circle element freehand using an 'Inktense' water colour pencil. I added a spritz of water to the circles and let the resultant colour pool and drip down my page - fun!!!
My papers and embellishments are mainly from Kaisercraft. I love the ephemera bags that accompany all the Kaisercraft collections. They are great for adding all those little details that spice up a page.
Thanks for takoing the time to look at my page today. Do head over to 'Off the Rails' and check out the december mood boards (there are two to choose from) for yourself !

Love the way you've used the colours and the way you grouped your elements in the circle. Nicely done. Thank you for entering our challenge at Off The Rails Scrapbooking.
I love my inktense blocks not as many colours as the pencils that you have but fun to play with. So much work you have put into your layout. I enjoyed reading your story and how you incorporated the theme of 'Christmas' into it. Thank for playing along with us at Off The Rails Scrapbooking
